Accessibility Statement

The HTML pages in this web site are built to conform to W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines for Level A accessibility.

Alternative text is provided on all images (except those that are purely decorative), and for the flash audio interviews, text transcripts are provided as an alternative.

The site is also readable by browsers without Cascading Style Sheet support or JavaScript.

In addition to the Level A guidelines, resizable rather than fixed size fonts are used for all screen text. Also, heading markup rather than graphics are used for all page headings.

Some PDF brochures are linked to the site, and these are not accessible. If you do require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What is "accessibility" anyway?

In the web context, it refers to the practice of building web sites to be accessible by people with disabilities. The Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium publishes standards for building accessible web sites.

Side benefits of building sites in this way include better cross-browser compatibility and improved search engine rankings.
